new toys

Hi there,

So mum's cousin is getting married in a few weeks and I've been asked to do the photos (no pressure or anything!!! Suggestions and advice welcome!!). My camera was given to me for my 21st from my Dad (which now of course holds huge sentimental value) and has been playing up a wee bit. I can't handle the thought of getting rid of it, but didnt want to rely on a camera that spontaneously corrupts photos - especially for a wedding! So I splashed out (courtesy of mum's credit card in the mean time!) on a new camera! SUPER exciting! I've upgraded to a Canon 60D. Its fun! so dont know how to use it properly yet, but have only had it out for one day so far!

Thought I would share a few pics from my trip out with it. These are of my Nana and Poppa's gorgeous new addition - Toffee - a Shitzu cross with a Tibetan Spaniel. Just adorable!!! I see more days needed to practice with this bundle of fluff!!

Off to bed for this lady. Worked the last two days (yeah I know, harden up!!) and have a semi final game of netball tomorrow - hopefully not in the rain!!

about to watch the finals against Australia. Have declared my allegence for NZ (despite my part Australian heritage!) and hoping the girls complete G2 and bring home the Gold!

Wise words from Tinkerbell

So Dave and I had a discussion about talent yesterday - about what constituted being talented etc. True to form, I won (hahaha nah really I think the conversation was halted by seeing puppies in the pet shop!).

But when I woke up this morning and checked Facebook (as you do!), I saw this picture and quote on "Tinkerbell"'s page.

“Your talent makes you who you are, you should be proud of it!” - Tinker Bell

Think its pretty true....And maybe something I might start listening to.... I really can't argue with Tink now can I???!!

Thought I would share some of my favourite layouts I've done recently.

This is a layout I did around February of one of my favourite photos taken when I holiday in Hahei (Coromandel) with some awesome friends. Was such a fantastic holiday. I totally love how this layout turned out!!

This one is of my first winged-baby. I decided to try and raise butterflies over the summer and this was the first one I managed to get from egg to butterfly!!! LOVE this photo. Pretty happy with the layout too to be honest!

I have a few others to share but might wait a little bit!!!

Netball Worlds started tonight! Super exciting. My tv viewing for the next week are sorted now!!! Looking forward to the games later in the week when we come up against some other big competition!!

New start, new adventures

So... This is it! First post in a new blog!!

I intend for this blog to be my space for my creations, my thoughts, my finds, and my adventures.  I aim to share things that are important to me here and now.

I just this moment received an email from a special friend I've spent some awesome times with lately.  I think it's an awesome way to start my new blog. I leave you with this thought....
